However, some debris may become logged in the small holes in the netting, so be careful to clean thoroughly and have fun. **Q: Where is it made?** A: The net part that catches the fish is a plastic net and the handle is probably wire covered in plastic **Q: is the mesh fine enough to pick up dirt and debris?** A: I have used it to skim the surface of an outdoor pond and it works well. I think it would work fine filtering dirt and debris but it is not made for heavy duty work.
