This attractive design is "Highly" dysfunctional. There wasn't enough room on the ledges for birds to stand and eat. First, thinking it was a poorly located in the yard so the feeder was moved several times with no results. Secondly, we tried to add wood handles so birds could perch and eat but there was no room to screw in the handles.
