I'm a dentist for 34 years and a dental researcher and developer for 36 years -- and I'm also an author and lecturer. Rembrandt is what I've been recommending to my patients since the early 80's, right after Dr. Robert Ibsen created this toothpaste with his company DenMat. It has since been sold to Oral-B and now one of the Johnson & Johnson companies. It is VERY low in abrasion yet I believe the best stain removing toothpaste. You wouldn't clean your car with an abrasive kitchen cleanser -- you'd use a non abrasive car soap that "dissolves" stains instead of "sanding" them off with abrasive. Rembrandt uses a proteolytic enzyme that comes from the papaya fruit (so it is very safe and gentle)that will dissolve away stains on the surface of the teeth instead of an abrasive. This means less wear of your teeth over the years and less "notching" of the teeth up near the gumline. And the price that Amazon is charging is very fair.

I decided to step up my teeth game and this was my first choice as my sister recommended it. At first, my teeth got overly sensitive but that only lasted for a few days and it wasn't that bad. Afterwards, my teeth were perfect and grew several shades whiter and I couldn't be happier. Definitely my new toothpaste of choice but I would recommend switching back and fourth with another trusted toothpaste if the sensitivity is too much to handle. It's a little expensive but something to never cheap out on is yourself.

This toothpaste is the best whitening toothpaste out there. It is very potent, will leave your mouth feeling fresh, it may burn your tongue a bit but nothing too harsh. I noticed whiter teeth within 3-5 days. after 3 or 4 weeks the compliments will start on how white your teeth are, and after about 6 months your teeth will get second glances from strangers due to how white they are (hopefully that's the real reason! ;) haha My only complaints about this toothpaste is that the tube it comes in is filled with air and the bottle is only about 3/4 full so it does go quickly if you brush your teeth twice a day or more. Also, it takes gross.... really gross, but you get used to it. it's pretty pricey for how little of it you actually get in the tube, but mind you--no toothpaste even compares in whitening.

Of all the whitening toothpaste I have tried, this is by far the best one. Believe me when I say you get what you pay for. It is a little expensive in the stores but you have opportunities to get it discounted. This purchase from Amazon was amazing so I jumped at the chance to buy it. After you use it, you can see your teeth whitening immediately and when you stop using for whatever reason, the yellow comes back. So I have used it every since and not going back to the regular toothpaste again.

I had high expectations for this product as my friend in the beauty industry rated it highly. Unfortunately the results were only slight and not noticeable for others to comment on. I don't smoke, don't drink wine and just drink one cup of caffeine per day. If you can't afford to get your teeth whitened this is something to help you go a shade lighter but I feel with legal limits of peroxide being very low for shelf products the next step for a much brighter smile is visiting the dentists.

I've always favored Rembrandt because I thought it left my teeth feeling clean and healthy. It wasn't until I went abroad that I noticed the full effects of Rembrandt. A few years ago, I spent about three months in Europe, and about a month in, my tube of Rembrandt ran out. Not thinking much of it (and because I didn't want to go through the hassle of finding good toothpaste), I started using generic brand toothpaste. After a few weeks of using the generic toothpaste, I started noticing that my teeth looked yellower. Upon closer inspection, I saw brown stains on my upper and lower center teeth! Granted, I did drink more red wine, but the amount of "staining" foods I consumed (coffee, tea, etc.) did not change... In fact, I didn't drink as much coffee or tea during those months as I do back in the states. When I got back home, I had to use whitening strips to get my teeth back to the previous white color, and I immediately started using the Intense Stain toothpaste to clean out the stains (previously, I just used the green-boxed Deeply white toothpaste from Rembrandt). Eventually, my teeth retained their original white hue, but I was shocked that a switching toothpaste could have caused such a noticable change. I realize that there must be other factors, i.e., my foreign toothpaste could have been exceptionally low quality as it was provided for me at no cost. But still, I've not used any toothpaste other than Rembrandt for years, and no matter how much coffee/tea I drink, I'm still getting compliments on my teeth.

I generally drink a lot of coffee throughout the day (office job) so I started looking for a solution that will help whiten my teeth. I came across this product, ordered, and after about 2 weeks of usage (2x a day, morning before work, night before bed), I noticed significant positive changes in the colour of my teeth. Overall, they have whitened and I am really happy with the results.
