I'm not a fan of the D batteries but it has an option plug for external power which is great if you have an outlet under the counter. The downside to this thing is that I've gone through two of them. They seem to last about 1.5-2yrs before they just stop pumping. The LED lights come on but the pump isn't activating so either the motor goes bad or the circuit board isn't communicating. It's a real shame too because the dispenser has a nice look to it. I've tried multiple things, even contacted support, but after the second one died (seemed around 17mths), I'm moving on to another brand. I didn't purchase this from desertcart as they were not sold on here at the time. Also I extended the soap line now I leave the full gallon on the floor and do not have refill the dispenser.
