A black cat with glowing eyes leads us on our nocturnal sojourn through the 78 cards of the Major and Minor Arcana. The characters of the Major Arcana visit from the realms of horror stories and Halloween tradition. Frankenstein and his bride 'bring to life' the Emperor and the Empress cards. The Minor Arcana suits are Pumpkins, Imps, Ghosts, and Bats, each with a special significance. This is a pocket-sized deck."As the suit of the ancient element Earth, the Pumpkins describe all things that are physical and tangible, real and solid -- things you can taste and smell, and of course, count. The Ghost cards are haunted by the ancient element of Water, the symbol of the fluidity of the subconscious mind, dreams, instincts, and emotions. The Bats comprise the 'thinking suit,' reflecting a bat version of the intellect -- the uncannily sensitive 'radar' of these nocturnal creatures that helps them find food and avoid collisions even on the blackest of Halloween nights. Since the traditional Tarot suit of Wands is linked with the ancient element Fire, the devilish scarlet Imps make a delightful Halloween suit equivalent."Also available: Halloween Tarot and Halloween Tarot Deck/Book Set Review: I think it's adorable! - Ignore the bad reviews. It's really cute and fun. The size dimensions are listed plain as day so anyone expecting a standard size tarot deck didn't do their research, and wanting to blame the product itself when all they had to do was look at the details is wrong on so many levels. Also, it's a well known fact that U.S. Games Systems' in a tin series are pocket sized. So again, if you are disappointed with the size, don't blame the product, blame yourself and your poor research! The suits are easy enough to remember if you aren't senile. I too have over 30 decks, 41 to be exact, and I have ZERO problems with remembering the suits and I just got this deck a week ago. Also, the title card says "playing cards" because they are playing card size and tarot began as a card qgame to begin with...the Italians still use it as a game to this day, so anyone confused about that, don't be. It's just verbage and it doesn't affect the way you use the cards as a tool. If it did, people wouldn't be able to read with playing cards for instance. It's all to do with you and not the tool itself. It's your intuition, the cards are just a channel for it. Same with any magical tool. They are only magical because WE say so. Otherwise the cards are just paper and ink. The only issue I have with it is the old advertisement that comes with it. Shows the book as being able to aquire on its own whereas nowadays you can only aquire it by getting the deck and book kit. Would be nice to get it on its own and not have to get the standard size deck along with it. Maybe one day they'll bring it back. Until then, I do wish they'd get rid of that old ad. It's either on the extra card or in the little booklet. I can't remember which at the moment. Another issue is that there's no reversals in the little booklet either but that's okay because I have plenty of knowledge on reversals. Would've been nice to hear the booklet/book authors interpretations of reversals for this deck though. I still think even with these issues it's worth five stars. But overall I just think this is so clever and adorable. The cardstock is really nice! Matte but not the kind of matte of today where it's basically cardboard textured but moreso the kind of matte that the universal waite in a tin deck is made of. They are the same size as the radiant rider waite in a tin deck and the smith waite centennial in a tin deck. So far, I'm really liking the vibes of it. They read very well which says more about me and my intuition and knowledge of tarot than it does the actual deck though but still I figured I'd include that detail. Any deck only reads as well as you do. Review: BEST TAROT DECK EVER - I LOVE this tarot card deck. It’s great for entertaining guests on Halloween, but I use it year round. It’s my go-to deck. The artwork is amazing, and uses the Rider Waite imagery as its inspiration, so it is a great beginner deck. Even though the card meanings listed in the little booklet are less extensive than the Rider Waite booklet, I love their take on the card meanings. The meanings are similar to those in RW booklet, but explained in a very user-friendly sort of way, with most of the normally negative cards having a slightly more positive spin on them. If you love Halloween, this deck is a must-have!

Portable! Easy shuffling!
I love these cards! I had wanted a deck I could throw in my purse and pull out a do a quick reading with anywhere. This that deck. I wanted a deck that was not scary or really creepy or old-fashioned or ultra-modern. Everyone likes Holloween, and these are creepy cute! Even conservative people are not afraid pumpkins will send them to the dark side. And what they say about me as a reader is that I don't take myself too seriously. Also, the smaller size makes for easy shuffling and I don't need a whole table for a spread. The short booklet makes it easy to keep a reading light and stay true to the card meanings. It's a big plus that the card symbols are traditional and fit the card meanings so well.

Creepy but Cute!
I have and like the regular sized Halloween deck and card combo so much that when I found out it came in a smaller size AND in a tin, I bought it asap. I am a sucker for mini decks, and stuff in tins, so this was a great combo. I compared the two decks side by side, and other than size, they are the same image and color, just smaller with no loss of detail. (shrunken heads? No loss of detail or color. The fact that once again it is October and Halloween is fast approaching had NOTHING at all to do with my purchase. ha ha. This is a perfect handy size to store in your purse or wherever for when the urge to shuffle overcomes. Even the book that came with the larger deck is a small handy size to carry with, but the LWB is in the can, too. Love the deck, love reading with it, and folks at Amazon, let's get more mini (or full size) Tarot cards in tins! Yay!

Cutest Halloween tarot set
I bought these for a friend who loves Halloween and reading tarot. We used them the other night and the art is ADORABLE. I would highly recommend. The instructions for reading were helpful and the price for these was wonderful. I’m going to buy myself a set asap.

Fun and lovely cards
This are some fun and lovely tarot cards. I was a little taken aback by their smaller size but I do not regret the purchase and I think they will work just fine. The tin can kind of makes up for their smaller size. I just got this deck so I am not sure how well they will work in readings. I do not think this cards are meant for serious readings either. I also do not think I will be buying the book for this cards given their lighthearted tone. Nonetheless, this are some really nice cards.

Adorable, Petite Seasonal Cards
This deck is absolutely beautiful with the most adorable Halloween illustrations. The Suits and the court cards are all designed around iconic Halloween characters. They are very high quality, smooth surface and not stuck together. They are also a small size, very comfortable in your hands. So why only 4 stars? I dropped one star for the booklet. As this is a mini-type deck, the card meanings are greatly abbreviated. That would be fine, but, when cutting down each meaning, the author cut out nearly anything positive about each card. I bought these with the idea of sharing them with a large group of women that do not read cards. They need the booklet to help them define their reading. As the meanings in this booklet are soooo negative, I feel I have to pull a large chunk of the cards before sharing them with the group. I pulled nearly the entire Suit of Bats/Swords (see photo for reference). As a reader, I love this deck (just throw out the booklet). But I’d never give it to a beginner. Certainly doesn’t set the tone for a “fun-filled” Party setting. Too bad - it’s cute as heck.

Cute Deck
Pocket version of the deck that comes with a LWB in a beautiful tin. I've been considering getting this deck on and off for a long time, and I finally went for it. I absolutely love it. The deck is Waite based, and that's very obvious from some cards. There are many that closely resemble Waite's cards with Halloween colors and symbols thrown over them, but there's several really creative interpretations in there as well that I completely love. If you're really into Halloween and horror/supernatural stories, the LWB should be all you need. If not, I'd suggest getting the kit version with the companion book, as it goes into greater detail about the symbolism in the cards. You can still read them without knowing all the full history of everything in each card, but knowing the myths, customs, and stories referenced would definitely be useful. But so long as you have basic card meanings down, and you're familiar with Waite's system, you should be able to read with the cards straight out of the tin. The readers I got out of them were fairly straight forward, which wasn't what I was expecting from the artwork. The deck did not disappoint, and I really love the tin that it comes in. Wonderful deck!

Love these cards
I watched some Youtubers use these. I liked the simple artwork, so I gave these a shot. This version is a the mini deck with a tin box. Cardstock is thinner than usual. Feels more like playing cards. The borders are minimal. I would've preferred if there were no borders on this deck, just so the darker colours can dominate. Compared to the lousy packaging I've received from US Games Systems in the past, this is probably the nicest and well-presented box of cards. The past ones I got were not sealed at all, so they popped open in the warehouse and the cards were out of order when they arrived. And the boxes were wrongly sized causing the cards to bounce around. Yes, the black cat is on every card. Although, I'm wondering why his eyes are yellow in the major arcana, but change between orange and red in the minors. Being a cat, he gets cuddles from some of the figures. Sometimes, he hides behind the furniture. He's a bit strange looking, but he does everything you'd expect cats to do. Unlike the standard RW decks, this one has nearly no noticeable nudity. The devil card figures are more like naked mini cupids and you'd only see their parts if you looked closely. Most of the characters resemble cartoony people with costumes on. Nothing scary or morbid. The simplistic, playful art bring out the kid spirit. It's like trick-or-treating. I'll be using this deck outside of Halloween.

The easiest way to learn tarot-ever!
