I bought a similar journal at Walmart. Not nearly as nice, no pen loop and the paper doesn’t compare. What it does have though that I fell in love with is an index and page numbers already done.If only this Rettacy dot grid journal had an index and page numbers. Their lined journals do. I am missing the pen loop and the wicked strong paper though.EditThis thing is a beast. There's only one pen I've found that bleeds, not much ghosting if any. It takes pencil well, and I've been using/abusing it for four months. The cover is still in great shape. I can hardly get over how well the cover is doing. Except where I've written on it it's like new! Even the elastic has lasted. A plea to the makers... please don't change a thing.I love this journal. The best part is the paper weight while being a dot grid journal. I can use my favorite pens again! I also like how many pages, the pocket in the back... I could go on.I'm not crazy about the cover. It feels great in your hands, it's just that I tend to be rough on things and am not sure if it will hold up to my abuse. Only time will tell I suppose.The dots are great! They're not so light that you can barely see them and they aren't dark enough to overwhelm the page.
