The height with wheels, but not the top handle is about 21 1/2". The top handle sticks up another 3/4" - so it's pretty close to specs depending on your airline. I'm wondering about KLM myself. For that airline it would be good if they don't include the top handle. **Q: Has anyone taken this on american airlines internationally? they are saying the exact dimensions of the bag must be 22 x 14 x 9. bag is 9.5 not 9.** A: I had no issues traveling to Europe with this bag. **Q: can the 20" piggyback on the 25"?** A: There’s an elastic strap on the back of the 20” bag. I typically travel with two carry-on’s and two checked bags and this will make it so much easier wheeling the carry-ones through the terminal!There are only two minor negatives I have with the bag.- First, although the overall height and width are virtually identical to my other carry-on… the actual body is a tad shorter and the wheels sit taller…. meaning there is a bit less baggage space for packing items.- Second, the built-in usb socket is USB-A and not USB-C. This is t really an issue at all but it might be worth knowing. A simple solution is simply to get a USB-A to USB-C charging.cable for those to want to use it.
