Details:: Applicable model:It will fit for MacBook Pro Retina 13 "&15" A1706 A1707 A1708 and for MacBook 12 "A1534 2017, (not available for A1534 2015 and 2016 models) Installation tips: 1. When taking out the old spacebar cover, gently lift it from the upper left corner to the upper right corner (first release the top button), then take out the old spacebar cover; 2. If the white butterfly hinge is not damaged, when installing the space key cap, first aim at the buckle at the lower end of the key cap and then gently press the upper end.(Do not press directly, the key cover or hinge is easy to break); 3. If the white butterfly hinge is damaged, please loosen the left (or right) buckle of the hinge first, and then replace the new hinge; 4. If the base gasket is damaged, take out the damaged gasket and install a new one. Note: this product does not contain glue. Please prepare glue when replacing the base shrapnel gasket. Pre-shipment test, 100% qualified Packaging includes: 1X space key cap 1X hinge 1 set of base gasket.If there is any missing parts, please contact us! Note: The product does not contain glue and self-adhesive, need to prepare by yourself.

One false move and the tiny little plastic pieces will break. Again, just the nature of the way Apple designed things. Honestly, if I didn't live 3 hours from the nearest Apple store I'd have just taken it in to have them fix it. The DIY route requires a careful and patient approach. Apple even repairs sticky/broken keys on these keyboards free sometimes due to a class action lawsuit. I went DIY and appreciate the availability of these parts.

This will work for the MacBook 12 "A1534 2017 keyboard (EMC 3099), but it won't work for the 2015 and 2016 keyboards (EMC 2746 EMC 2991). Hopefully my answer will help you.

Bought this for a 2016 MacBook pro after I ruined the spacebar while trying to fix it. You will need some form of double sided tape or glue -- just the nature of the way Apple designed the keyboard. You really should watch multiple videos on the repair on YouTube before starting. One false move and the tiny little plastic pieces will break. Again, just the nature of the way Apple designed things. Honestly, if I didn't live 3 hours from the nearest Apple store I'd have just taken it in to have them fix it. Product seemed okay, butterfly seemed soft. It was my second spacebar replacement on this doomed stupid keyboard… hard to tell if the keyboard is just shot, or if I installed incorrectly.
