My others were just compost areas on the ground. I sold some land and had to downsize so bought this. It is a breeze to put together. I took hints from the other reviews and used a rubber mallet to get the top attached. I also cut some screen to fit the bottom and attached it to the composter with zip ties so that it is weighted down now that it has compost in it. Some people complained because it didn’t come with stakes to attach it to the ground but here in the Pacific Northwest the wind would have made that ineffective. I am pretty sure it won’t go anywhere during a wind storm with the bottom screen and the weight of the compost holding it down but I wouldn’t put money on it. Time will tell. As to stirring the compost: I can see where if I were heavy handed and careless about hitting the sides when I was turning the contents it could come apart eventually. It is a good size for me but I am a household of 1 and have chickens so I don’t need a huge one. For 69 dollars it was a decent value. I think. People complained about the lid and yes it is a bit wonky but if I slow down and use my head it works ok and if the plastic tabs break I will use a brick to weight it down.
