It ensures optimal cooling through efficient airflow and includes all necessary screws for easy installation, making it a must-have for any serious gamer or professional. ## Description This GPU brace is designed to work with a wide variety of video cards, but it is not compatible with all models-in particular, dual and triple fan cards are less likely to work because there is so little shroud left around the fans for this brace to connect with. Cards with oddly shaped fan shrouds (angled, rounded, etc) are also problematic. - It will occupy the two slots directly below your video card-the chassis you use must have slots there (most ITX cases are too small). - Any other cards located in those two slots below the video card must either be low profile or both shorter than 3.5" in length-no taller than the slot bracket. - Measuring from the slot retention screw holes, the adjustable mounting locations along the arm of the brace are located from 3.875 to 6.375 inches at half-inch intervals. The foot that extends up from the brace can be positioned at any two of these holes and can be oriented in two directions - for a total of ten possible positions. It is about 0.8 inches wide, there needs to be a clear, flat spot at least that large on your video card's shroud in the 3.875 to 6.375 range (measured from the screw holes on the video card's bracket). Puget Systems logo is relatively large and prominently placed. If you have a window on your chassis it will be clearly visible. There is a protective brown film on one side of the brace when it is shipped out, but that should be removed before you install it. This GPU brace is what we use in many of our systems to help support larger, heavier video cards. Modern video cards utilize large heatsinks to cool the GPU effectively and quietly, but they weigh so much that in some situations they can actually damage the PCI-E slot on the motherboard. This universal acrylic GPU brace fastens directly to the case and provides support for cards to help prevent them from sagging over time. If you got the space for it (it takes up 2 PCI-E slots right under your GPU), it's a great bit of investment to keep your motherboard in great condition.Attaches easily (comes with a set of #6-32 or M3x0.05 screws) to your case (you can keep your PCI slot covers on your case), and you attach the separate support piece at the end with the included #6-32 screws to secure the support once it's made contact with the gpu. Hardest part of this is either, a) getting at your PC or, b) taking off the protective cover from the acrylic pieces. Seriously, it's easy to set this up. And since you'll be using the supplied Puget screws, you can storage the old screws that used to hold in your PCI covers to your case.Not a huge fan of the "Puget Systems" logo being so prominent, but it's their design. So to the victor goes the spoils, I guess. If not a good reference would be a ruler or flat piece of material to run across the bottom of your card to see if it interferes with fans or heat sinks. Asus strix 980 ti is the card I was trying to brace but it ran right across all the fans below.Pros : cheap and does the trick without getting creative.Cons: doesn't work for every card and would say for most large cards. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Does the job, could use some improvements. *by M***3 on Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2016* I recently upgraded my graphics card to the EVGA GTX 980Ti FTW edition and was worried about sagging in the future.I first saw this bracket on one of Barnaculse's videos and figured it would be perfect.I bought it from amazon to save on shipping from pugent (yay prime) and to get it quickly.It comes in a small zip loc bag with a single sheet of clearly written instructions and the necessary screws for mounting. It's made of solid acrylic; 1/4" thick for the long body and 3/8" for the small part the graphics card rests on. The logo is etched in, so no removing it via chemicals. Sanding it would probably work but would leave the bracket with a frosted look instead of being clear. Another solution (and one I'll likely do in the near future) is cover it with vinyl. There's plenty of colors around; so it's a good way to customize one's system further. I'll probably use yellow to match my pc's yellow and black theme. If the logo wasn't so big and prominently displayed this wouldn't be a big deal, but for the price of this thing, it should be either small and unobtrusive, or ideally, optional via a decal.Installation was fairly easy, though the screws on mine took a good amount of force to screw in. I was able to position the bracket to hold up my graphics card perfectly and evenly. I think there should be a small piece of non-slip rubber on the edge of the graphics card support, something else I'll be adding to mine.It's ok for the price, but could be about $5 cheaper.
