This product is exactly like the grocery bags I get at the grocery store when I ask for a paper bag. In my opinion, they are strong and big, and they have not failed in normal use. They are excellent for storage or carrying items from one place to another. As with all paper bags of this type, don't get them wet or they will fail under even a light strain.I do not agree with the reviewers who say the bags are substandard. Good substitute for plastic grocery bags. When our trash/recycling collection service refused to allow us to use plastic bags to group our recyclables this was the solution for me. These are supposed to be stronger than typical grocery bags, but I can’t tell the difference. If there were bags twice the weight I would buy them. These are as advertised a get the job done.

I don't know why supermarkets won't sell their paper bags that you use at checkout in bulk form but non of them do. They all charge 10 cents a bag when you are checking out. I thought these in a 50 pack would be a good deal but at $14 that works out to be 28 cents a bag! Almost 3 times as much as the supermarket charges. The quality seems fine but no better than the supermarket kind.

I wanted a sturdy and a bag that's a bit taller....but I opted for the convenience of these.They're okay for the money, I just wanted something a little taller and thicker.***********UpdateThese bags have a date of Dec 30, 20 printed on the bottom. This bundle was nothing but problems with the folding of the bottom part of the bag.Not a major problem that a bit of tape couldn't handle...it was just a pain.Hopefully next purchase will be better.

My local grocery store either does not have brown paper bags or they have them and don't want to use them. Must be the cost versus plastic bags. So Amazon has everything, I looked up brown paper grocery bags and like magic they were at my house in a couple of days. Anytime you need to put like things togetherthese grocery bags do the job.

Bags are excellent quality and received in an expedited manner. Not as thick as store grocery bags, but thick enough to carry the weight of half a bag of groceries. I loaded 5 cans and 4 boxes and that was plenty, anymore and it would rip, I would definitely purchase again.

We use these to line our recycling can. They feel maybe a little thinner than the ones from the grocery stores, but still work great for our needs.
