Works great for AC buzzbox to DC conversion
Works great to convert AC welder to "pulsed" DC for cheap. You'll really want to find a microwave transformer to wind some wire to make a "choke" in the circuit after this rectifier, this will make more steady DC current. I went an extra step and used both a microwave transformer core (free) and a large ferrite toroid ($7) that I hand wound with 4AWG CCA ($14). The output is much smoother than AC with less spatter and actually runs 7018 rod nicely. I cheaped out and went with a 200 amp rectifier instead of 300 amp. Figure anything past 150 amps I'll probably just be using AC to avoid arc blow, I'll let you know if it burns up.

Easy to implement on vintage battery charger.
The full wave 200A rectifier unit arrived less than 18 hours after ordering it and was in perfect condition. It was used to replace a failed full wave rectifier assembly in a 40+ year old, heavy duty, battery charger / jump starter. The original rectifier circuit had failed, but the rest of the unit was okay. My son installed it without any problems and is back in business. The heat sink is isolated from ground, so mounting it posed no tricky electrical problems. This is the second of this type of device that I have purchased through Amazon. The first was used in a wire welder. It still works great. Be sure to used crimp-on rings or spade luges when connecting it up as you are presumably using it for high current applications and want the best electrical contact possible. I would (and likely will) buy another one.

Easy and big improvement
Followed a few YouTube videos to mod a cheap 110v welder. I used this TR and attached a heat sync to it. I kept it simple and didnโt add any capacitors and the welder is now great. I have used it on a few projects now, some were lengthy, and it never showed any signs of overheating. Much less splatter, arc seems very smooth and penetration improved. Rarely does โcheap and easyโ work so well.

Good for upgrading a cheap AC flux-core welder
I bought this to replace a 100A rectifier that I installed on a 90A Chicago Welder to convert from AC to DC. The 100A lasted about 30min before shorting out. I've run 4 pounds of wire through the welder since I installed the 200A version and it's still going strong. I'm calling it a success!

I have not wired or tested it yet, But if it works its a good value
Need to test. Building a Plasma Cutter Using my Stick welder.

Works great! Bigger IS better!
Works great! I just converted my A.C. welder to D.C., and I wanted to be able to handle the demand without it over heating, and it has proven to be doing its job. I have ran my newly converted welder at it's highest amperage, and it stayed nice and cool. It wasn't that much more than the 150 amp unit, so why not be on the safe side to avoid overworking your most important component! I would recommend this to anyone who is converting your metal glue gun to a real working welder that will do a lot better job. I was reluctant to do the conversion, but the cost was well worth the effort, and it wasn't brain surgery, but was glad I took the leap! This rectifier is the one you need!

Yes!
I have a radiator fan off of a pickup truck that moves a tonn of air so I really wanted to use it for when I paint because box fans just weren't getting rid of the overspray fast enough. Problem was, the radiator fan draws a lot of current so a 12V adapter or a cheap power supply wasn't going to cut it. Ive burned out several full bridge rectifiers that i made and several good sized ones I've salvaged from other devices, they just couldn't handle the current for more than a few seconds. This is a little pricey but it is a beast! Powers the fan continuously and doesn't even get warm. I did place the circuit right in front of the fan so the airflow probably contributes to that, but i dont think it's even breaking a sweat.
