Also I've used it on house windows for the same reasons. **Q: Would this stain a soft top?** A: I don’t have a soft top myself but having worked with the compound I’d say it probably would stain one **Q: How long does the product last?** A: This product is a compound intended as a pre treatment to prepare 'deep clean' the glass prior to applying Glaco Ultra Glaco (hydrophobic glass coating) or the Roll on (chemical liquid super wiper). To get best results, first wash the glass with soapy water/car shampoo and dry off with a towel, then use Glaco compound to deep clean the glass, this is the purpose of this product, the product/applicator is super easy to use, shake well, remove the cap and squeeze to prime the pad, a little additional water will help the process here as the product can dry quickly in warm breezy environments (although if it does dry it doesn't matter) and let the felt pad do the rest with a few passes to ensure complete coverage of the glass, then rise well (the water will sit flat on the glass here) and thoroughly dry with a towel, you are ready to apply Glaco Ultra or any other glass sealant of choice. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really does what it claims to do! *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 11 August 2026* I only ever used rain ex on my cars windows and it does a good job, but only if you follow the instructions exactly and the coating does last about a month, so buying the SOFT 99 GLACO glass cleaner was a bit of a leap of faith. I'd seen the demo videos on Amazon and decided to give it a try. Well it really does do exactly what the adverts say, you just scrub the spongy part over the screen then spray a bit of water over the screen , shammy it dry and gave it a buff with a microfibre cloth and wow the windows were super shiny and water just sheets off, so I honestly haven't had to reapply this now for over three months so i will be switching to this and buying again , its a great product ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 23 August 2026* Great product.
