The Saga continues
I wasn’t disappointed with the game, the graphics are great as always. Can’t say anything bad about it!

Not close to Mafia III
Short on gameplay, Terrible voice acting (especially after I realized the main character, Tommy, sounded exactly like Vinny the dog that temporarily replaced Brian on Family Guy).

Until they fix the race in Mafia, stay away
I love Mafia 3 so I bought this and discovered a DarkSouls difficulty road race early in Mafia Definitive you have to WIN JUST TO CONTINUE THE GAME. 2K knew this but their arrogance is unbelievable. UNTIL THEY FIX THE RACE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY--you'll only get to play through 1/7th of the Mafia game.

Terrible Remake, Terrible Game!
When I first played Mafia Lost City Of Heaven, it was a classic and ahead of it's time. Well written story, heavily detailed, great voice acting while enjoying the whole 30s setting. This remake isn't anything like the classic! It's a horrible remake with scenes changed around, terrible choices in voice acting and it feels rushed! Over all just a bad game that I never want to touch again and I'll never trust Hanger 13 after their horrible squeal of Mafia III! If you want to enjoy the real Mafia game go play it on Steam. Don't waste you're money on this pile of garbage!

*4 and a half out of 5* Having played Mafia 2 (excellent) and Mafia 3 (fine) and never the original, I was heavily anticipating this remake of the first game to see where it all began. The game will take you around 10 hours to complete and features a much more linear and straightforward story structure and presentation than its sequels. The story follows taxi driver Tommy Angelo join the Salieri crime family as he becomes swallowed by the lifestyle and gains as much respect as he does enemies. This is a classic gangster crime caper whilst also being a focused and character heavy look at the world of Mafia members. With the game being a full on remake of the original PS2 release with the current engine that developer Hangar 13 created Mafia 3 on. However this is far less buggy and glitchy than the third instalment and it’s clear how much dedication and time went into this project. The game looks fantastic in motion, with a variety of weather effects, the extremely detailed world of 1930’s Lost Heaven and the well animated and voice acted characters, give the game a very cinematic feel. Gameplay is very much a refined approach to the previous games third person shooting, sneaking and driving. The gunfights are satisfyingly visceral and the sound design is booming and cracking as bullets fly and explosions go off. The car chase missions are intense and bombastic with great spectacle and the variety of missions and fast pace of the game’s story will hook you. In terms of negatives there are really only a few minor gripes. One of which is that the story can feel jumpy at times with a lot of events happening off screen and I wish it was longer just because of how much I was enjoying it. It can be a little clunky at times (especially the motorcycle handling) and there is some minor graphical pop in from time to time. This is certainly one of the best remakes of the generation and is probably my favourite of the Mafia games. The story and characters are great, the gameplay is straightforward but a lot of fun and the graphical overhaul and detail and time put into it really stands out.

On suit l'histoire d'un jeune homme Italien, qui fera son entrée dans la Mafia Italienne. Très bon jeu, je me suis bien amusé avec. Il y a plusieurs niveau de difficulté le jeu n'a rien d'insurmontable.
