I didnt explore any work/hack arounds. However, it does work with multiple adapters of the same make or model - or maybe they just need to support DisplayLink **Q: How is the lag on this device? can it smoothly play video?** A: No lag issues here. Installed the driver without fanfare per the website instructions. Plugged in the device after receiving it 2 days later and fired right up.
