So far it’s stayed but am worried about the magnet strength. I’ve bought two of these and have them in two separate vehicles. The one on my older truck has a great magnet connection! Won’t budge at all works awesome. The one on my car however isn’t as strong. While the magnet is the same- the connection to the different metals isn’t as stronger. I guess the newer vehicles don’t have as much metal on them. It’s still attached to my my car after several weeks, but I worry every time I hit a bump.

Works great for my needs! Definitely felt cheap but as my wife tends to lock keys in the vehicles I used this item to store a spare key and being magnetic I place them up inside the steel bumper and on vehicles without a steel bumper the magnet is strong enough to hold firmly to any steel or iron frame of your vehicle up under the door on the under body side or the frame itself. I would not place it somewhere that could potentially get drenched with mud slash water like in a fender or something. So whenever she locks the keys in a vehicle she easily has access to a spare key saving me a trip to rescue her LOL!

I wanted to be able to store both my apartment key and my car key and this is perfect with room to spare. The doors in my apartment building lock automatically behind you, so if you don't have your keys in your hand, you're locked out. Both my next door neighbor and I have been locked out and then had to go in search of the manager. I bought one for me and one for my neighbor, too. They're nice and sturdy with a strong magnet. These would make great stocking stuffers. UPDATE: I've now had this for over 2 years and it's still a super strong magnet. Never budges no matter the conditions of the road, the weather, long trips, etc. BUT - over time, it will get harder to open. The fix for me was to superglue a piece of rubbery material on the top, so you can get some grip on it when you try to slide it open, especially if it's wet. Then, you'll want to also put some petroleum jelly or some type of lubricant on the sides where it glides open and closed. I also smeared petroleum jelly on the spare keys inside, because one was trying to rust. The only problem after that, is that moisture builds up inside it. No big deal, if you have covered the keys in petroleum jelly, but beware when you open it, you'll have some water that needs to be emptied out - so you don't get water on you. I love this thing. It's saved me more than once when I've locked myself out of my apartment, or the truck. I keep a spare key for my locking gas cap in it, too, just in case.

I ordered this after my wife and son accidentally locked themselves out of the house in cold weather while I was a few hours away from home. I wanted to make sure that didn't happen again, but I also didn't want to leave a key concealed in an obvious place that any potential thief would know to look. In my case, I only needed it to fit a house key, but if you wanted to conceal a vehicle key in it with a fob, it's plenty big enough to do that. The magnet is strong and holds solidly, giving you more options to conceal in very inconspicuous locations.

A little big and bulky just to hide a key, makes it hard to hide itself. But magnet is good, sticks solid.
