Absolutely horrible. Sticky substance on tip. When ink does come out it is splotchy. Stick to Cross.

Better body than Cross refills which have went to plastic. Ink not quite as smooth flowing so some skipping is noted. May be different depending upon writing style and paper.

The real deal is better. These write more like ballpoints and occasionally skip, something that won't happen with the real deal. I guess they'll do in a pinch but won't be reordering.

This refill works in my Selectip 2 like any Cross 8523 refill, but because of the slope of the metal transition from the ink reservoir to the tip, it also fits in my 50 year old Cross felt tip pen, now with a rollerball tip. The Cross 8523 will not fit. Hurray.
