Just ordered this and received it. but it does not have a knob to change the angle. i have to use a allen wrench everytime. is that normal?

I have this part but with no knob, when I ordered it last year I don’t think a knob was featured. Amazon sent me an email asking me to answer this question, so they probably think both the version with the knob and the version without are the same item.
