Do you have to be in the house to record a program or can you set a recording when not at home.

You can set it to record programs when you are at home and if you get the HUMAX app on your mobile it lets you set programs when you are away from the home and it works very well For Example you are away in a hotel watching TV  and a program is coming on and you like to record it all you need to do is pick up your mobile open the app and set the program. when you get home you can watch it works every time for me.

Question 2

Does this box have netflix,amazon prime. Or can it be downloaded on to box. I saw recent questions asking but no update given.

Accepted Answer

You can download the Amazon app onto the box from the Play Store, but not Netflix. Apparently, there is an issue with some security implementation, so the suggestion is that Netflix will never be available on the current Aura hardware. There are work arounds available if you search online, but these are not for the faint hearted.

Question 3

What does this do that the humax fvp-5000t 1tb doesn't? it's a heck of a lot more expensive.

It comes with an HDMI cable, don’t know if it’s a 2.1 but as it’s designed for 4K images it should be to the latest standard.
