I just purchased a second one for a new location of our company. It is a little pricey at over (new) $600 but the high end of HP printers are more reliable then the low end. I would rather pay more and have less troubles. When I looked used (refurbed) they were around $200. I suggest buy a refurb that is guaranteed, use the catridges, and then hopefully use many more! We have two and use them daily in our business. If you can find a refurbished one - go for it. We use a laptop with it installed as a server with seven other laptops involved. **Q: the seller responded and there is a 30 warranty** A: First, I think you have to recognize that the M1319F is no longer being sold so any that you are likely to find probably have already had the manufacturer's standard warranty expire. Good luck geting any other warranty either. Second, printer warranties are kind of a half-cocked proposition anyway. The warranties are usually based on the elapse of an aribitrary period of time while the actual useful life of a printer is more acurately measured, from an engineering point of view, on some unit of usage like pages printed (average test pages printed before a catastrophic unit failure will "normally" occur). So one printer that sat in an office that is not throughly automated has only printed a few thousand pages and has years of life left while another bought the same day has already printed 25,000 pages and might be expected to fail at any minute. You can retrieve the number of pages from the memory of HP printers but this is never advertised nor is the expected pages-printed life of a particular model.For what it is worth I sought out bought two of these and am still using them because they just keep on ticking in a network printer high volume operation. I had NO trouble installing it and using it on both my iMac and on Windows XP running via VMWare Fusion. I have read you might have trouble with faxing over VOIP, but I've had no trouble at all and we use it a bunch in my office. Comcast installed a "fax/data line" in addition to the regular VOIP phone lines. I guess this special line has the correct settings to work with traditional fax machines. I would highly recommend this fax/printer to anyone, although I don't use it to scan ever.
