Dometic Standard CT Single Zone Thermostat, Black

This thermostat has been working great so far and was an easy replacement. One thing to know is that I had to cut back the ends of my thermostat wires because the tips were slightly burned/corroded. Once I trimmed them to clean copper and reconnected everything, the thermostat worked perfectly. If yours isn’t working right after installation, it’s worth checking the condition of your wire ends before assuming the thermostat is bad. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase.

This one wasent the right one for our older system but was easy to return

This replaced the existing damaged unit. The damage was in the form of broken buttons. For those of you old timers who remember the Intellivision controllers with the raised plastic "bubble" buttons that quickly cracked and failed under the savage abuse of excited yoots, that is what the old Dometic controller uses. This unit replaces those "bubble" buttons with solid plastic buttons that are activated by capacitance (Thanks Gemini!).

So far so good, no problem. Easy to install and easy to use only thing is that doesn't come with manual for installation you'll have to Google it for installation and make sure everything is disconnected even the battery.

Updating. This didn't last long at all. It is already malfunctioning and I have to replace again. It is not my control panel, as that was checked. I'm where it's extremely cold and raining, living in my trailer until my son's house is finished. I have to order another and replace. It's too late for a replacement. Very easy to install and works very well. I was happy to receive this quickly and with instructions that were easy to understand.

i got this to replace the thermostat in my camp trailer because the old one was WILDLY off. this one, while functionally correct and does work mostly okay does have one flaw: the darn touch controls! the place where my thermostat is in my trailer is in kindof a narrow walkway, so it's very easy to accidentally brush up on it and change the temperature. i do it all the time now x.x removing and replacing the faceplate makes the whole unit wig out for few seconds due to the capacitance change the cover provides. it can easily get into the service modes and act wonky if you're not careful. when i first got it, because of the touch buttons getting into the service menu and adjusting the furnace differential temperature immediately (it will say smth like d1, d2 or OF; you can get into it when the thermostat is off and by holding down and on/off). the differential temp if it's set to d1 causes the furnace contactor in the aircon to constantly cycle on and off and makes a horrendous racket. took me a few days to figure that one out! overall: i wish it had buttons instead of touch controls :( it's hard to accidentally the clicky buttons of my old one.

These three wire thermostats are dumb. Why isn't there more replacement options!? The other option is a $280 wifi enabled thermostat. I went back and forth and ultimately got the cheaper version. If you are having issues keeping your rig cool, get this one. If you bought a used camper, replace it with this one. You may not even realize how good your AC can be until you get a good thermostat. If you are having AC problems, replace the thermostat first. It's probably the problem. As far as the usability that other reviews had issues with, I had zero. None. Everything has been working great for 3 months (I live in my camper full time) Push any button once and it will light up. Then push the button you want to do the thing that you want. Don't smash the button, it uses conduction, not a mechanical button. Be confident with your finger, and you will have no issues.

Replaced the original on an older RV and works perfectly... have installed for two seasons now. Reasonable price and easy to installed.

Remplace parfaitement notre ancien thermostat. La réceptivité des contrôles pourrait être plus précise et il semble y avoir un petit équart de un degré par rapport à notre thermomètre de vr, mais somme toute, ça fait le travail. Le look est jolie et il est facile à remplacer.

Fonctionne très bien

Ordered one and the part to hook the wires up to came installed upside down so I couldn't hook the wires up. Sent it back and they sent a replacement. When I hooked up the replacement and put the cover on it the screen would go blank. I thought it was the wires so I tried to adjust the wires and the display would go on and off when adjusting the wires. Then by fluke it would go on and then I put the cover on and as soon as I put that on, the display would go blank again! These are junk. It's going back.
