Lisle 58430 Shaft in Seal Puller

I recently used this seal puller to remove the CrankShaft seal from my chainsaw. I learned about it from a YouTube video, & that guy clearly stated that he had to File Down the size of the hook, to make it work. I had to do the same thing, but it worked very well. Fortunately, Lisle did provide a 2nd Hook in the package, so the puller can be used for another size seal in the future. I am reasonably happy with this puller.

I bought this tool after many years of using the old traditional hook style tool and also drilling holes and using wood screws to remove seals, I had to be very careful since both my old methods can scratch and damage the sealing surface, but now I got a very picky customer and wated all the seals replaced, this time I decided to do some research and find something less risky and better. For my surprise, this tool works great. I can't explain how happy I feel of finding this tool after many years, these seals were very tight in the holes, I was scared of breaking the tool but I was able to remove all 3 front seals with no issues at all. Really recommend this to anyone with patience to understand and use it.

Worked very well removing the cam and crank seals on a Lexus RX300; 17 year old seals came out fairly easily with no damage to the shafts so I am happy with the tool and would recommend it. The only odd thing was that the swiveling post gets hung up on the curve in the handle and you have to wrestle it off that' I'm not sure why it's made that way. Regardless though I'm still glad I bought it.

One of the hooks broke it would not go under the camshaft seal so know I have one hook left so I took the hook and filled the blunt part that goes under the seal and sharpen it so it would go under the seal and I was able to pull the seal out.

Lisle is supposed to be a reputable tool brand but this tool failed on first use. The hook that grabs the edge of the seal/bearing broke off. There is a spare one but I haven't even tried it because now I need to fish out the broken piece from the transfer case.

Can't believe I haven't used a tool like this in all my life. No damage to my camshafts by trying the wood screw and pull trick. Easy to use and the built-in pry bar works great for crankshaft and cam seals.

Perfect tool for removing front crankshaft oil seal during my timing belt service. I was able to get the camshaft seals with hose picks and a great deal of difficulty, but failed to get the crankshaft seal out. This tool took care of the crankshaft seal in 20 seconds, and would have made removing the cam seals so easily. If you work on cars you MUST purchase this tool. Both tips broke fairly easily right out of the package. I then heated the remaining broken tip with a torch and bent that into an 90 degree tip, used to remove seal and it worked easily ... Could have been my fault in use but, I would think manufacturers would expect pulling and prying when using this tool, it's what its for ...

Fácil y sencilla de usar aunque si no se puede apoyar para hacer palanca se complica su uso. Se puede usar un taco de madera para apoyarla.

It didn't work well.

Simple but amazing tool. More expensive in the UK than USA, but still worth the money. Works as easy as it claims.
