Lighter than honey. High fibre, low cal. - Fantastic! I find honey a bit dense and too sweet - this is so light and mild. Love it! Can only have 1-2 teaspoons a day though for obvious reasons as one teaspoon has 3g of fibre (equivalent to a whole serving of Fruit n Fibre cereal)! And only 9 calories a teaspoon. Top tip - mix a teaspoon of chicory root syrup with a teaspoon of cacao or cocoa powder (keep mixing - it doesn’t look like it will turn to paste but it does) - makes a delicious chocolate sauce. I use this to coat a few dates for a sweet fix Review: Good honey substitute. - Very nice flavour, not as sweet as honey but a great substitute if you're following a keto or diabetic diet. I use it in baking and dressings. ## Features - ✅ HEALTHY SUGAR SUBSTITUTE: Containing just 14% of natural sugar, Chicory Root Syrup is remarkably low in sugars versus alternatives such as honey, agave or maple syrup which contain 65-80% sugar. I use it in baking and dressings. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good sweetener alternative *by V***Y on 15 February 2025* The syrup itself taste good and of the right consistency, however it came dent and leaking in the package quite a bit seep out so I had to transfer to a squeezy container, which would be a better option than the jar, wouldn’t have given 5 stars but the packaging loose a star, but I’m not put off as it’s a bonus in helping with my fibre intake and not too sweet either. ## Frequently Bought Together - Homespun Chicory Root Syrup - Keto & Low Carb Sweetener - Low Sugar, Vegan Honey - High in Prebiotic Fibre - Low GI Natural Sweetener - Plant Based - 200g Glass Jar - NKD Living 100% Natural Erythritol 1 Kg (2.2 lb) Granulated Zero Calorie Sugar Replacement - XYLITOL 2 Kg Natural Sugar Alternative (1 x 2kg), UK Brand, Non-GMO Certified --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.in/products/241298461-chicory-root-syrup](https://www.desertcart.in/products/241298461-chicory-root-syrup) --- *Product available on Desertcart India* *Store origin: IN* *Last updated: 2026-10-06*
