One can even get a functional edge from a sufficiently hard and even stone (e.g. one found in a river bed was just the right mixture of course and homogenous for me). The different lengths of blade in this line serve a variety of purposes outdoors: Carving, feathering, shaving, whittling, skinning, and chopping fresh wood, to name but a few. I've used this out in the bush and on a few camping trips with impressive results. You do need to run your stone on the edge a few times, but the 1075 high carbon steel holds it's edge very well and feels great in the hand. This rugged knife can chop wood and do fine carvings as well. I love Condor's leather sheaths. They are as close as you get to hand made. Get this knife if you want a solid little bushcraft knife.
