This Piko compilation isn’t quite as overflowing with games as the first one, and the average quality and interest of the games is lower. Being sports focused, some of these games are not likely to get a whole lot of my time, but so far sports have not gotten much love on the Evercade, so I can’t complain much. Many of these games had trademarks and licensing that Piko didn’t acquire. So names like Top Gear, Brutal Sports Football, Mike Ditka, Charles Barkley, and so on have been stripped from these games, leaving them looking even more generic than many of them already were. Nevertheless, there’s a lot of fun stuff here. Let’s go one by one. Power Football - formerly known as Mike Ditka’s Power Football. It ain’t Madden, that’s for sure, but it’s not terrible. Hoops Shut Up and Jam / 2 - Formerly known as Charles Barkley’s Shut Up and Jam, these titles are widely reviled NBA Jam clones. I kinda like them, and until we get real NBA Jam, they’re more fun than Double Dunk and Basketbrawl. Summer Challenge, Winter Challenge - These Olympics games are pretty fun, although typically button-mashy. They’re graphically impressive with polygon world graphics akin to Hard Drivin’. Beast Ball - this is Brutal Sports Football from Teque. Neither European nor American football, this is basically Mutant League Rugby, and it’s a ton of fun. A must play. Eliminator Boat Duel - graphically impressive and very fun boat racing game. Sadistic - one collision and your game is probably over - but much more fun with save states. Full Throttle: All American Racing - this Road Rash clone isn’t nearly as good, but it’s fun and scratches that itch. If only EA would let us play the real thing. Top Racer 2 - Top Gear 2. A wonderful super scaler racing game, one of the reasons to buy this. Soccer Kid - I own this game many times over for different platforms and I don’t really like it. It’s beautiful and creative, but I lose the ball constantly. Maybe it’s me. Lots of people love this game, so give it a try. Football Madness - the first Playstation game on Evercade. It seems like a fun soccer game, but it’s pretty generic. World Trophy Soccer - a weirdly generic port of Manchester United Europe. I’m not sure why they used the US version, but it’s probably because of copyright and trademark issues. Fun game. Racing Fever - incredibly generic and barebones, this first Game Boy Advance game on the Evercade is a lot more fun than it should be. It’s blatant shovelware, so why do I keep playing it...? All in all, this compilation is at the bottom of my Evercade list, but it still has plenty worth playing. Top Gear 2 and Brutal Sports Football alone are reason to buy this, and everything else is fun when the mood strikes. I just wish it included the crappy Cal Ripkin Baseball that was a fixture of my childhood.

A perfect addition to your Evercade collection

The games are just hard too play. Some are good games just too many off them are sports games that are just not as good as other sports games just not enjoyable for me too play. Only buy if you like hard sports games.

Piko ha sido un descubrimiento gracias a Evercade. No conocía nada de esta compañia y me ha sorprendido para bien. La colección 1 de Piko me gustó y ésta es del mismo estilo, otro gran cartucho. Si te gustó el 1, te gustará éste.

Despite being quite heavy on the footie, there’s still enough on this cart collection for other Evercaders. As always, there are a number of retro games included. I remember playing Soccer Kid and Top Racer 2 (aka Top Gear 2) on Amiga and after trying out the others, there’s more than enough to keep me going even without being seriously into football! If you ARE into footie, then this’ll be right up your street, especially when the VS arrives and you can play 2 player on the TV in1080p. Another essential Evercade purchase.

Arrivato ben confezionato e sigillato. Ci sono ben 13 giochi retro. Consiglio per chi ha nostalgia e a chi vuole rimanere nella legge. Abbassare la pirateria. Un po' complicati i giochi ma godibili. Io sono contento.
