The Fletcher Class was a built by the United States during World War II and went on to serve not only during that war, but in Korea and Vietnam as well. The Fletchers, capable of 38 knots, were armed with five 5" guns and 10 21" torpedos. A total of 175 Fletchers were built during World War II.

Review: 現時点で最高コスパ！のフレッチャー - 手すりを汎用エッチング、丸窓・探照灯などをクリアレンズなどとし、全塗装完成後のレヴューです。 まずは実売1700円（2025.12現在）という、1/700キット並み（以下？）の価格で、コスパ最強は確定でしょう。 すでにアナウンスされている某社の新作は余裕で５桁越えの価格です！ 皆さんタミヤの価格改定前に買っておきましょう！！ さすがに後発の1/350雪風ほどではありませんが、キットは組みやすく、塗装やら追加工作やらやりたくなります。 私は「シミ迷彩」に挑戦してみました。 タミヤは実艦の写真をよくリサーチしているようで、模型原寸の塗装指示書も用意されてます。 私は頑張ってマスキングテープを切り抜きましたが、筆塗りでも良かったかもしれません。 「展示台」とされているものは、板４枚を組み合わせる簡易なもので、やはり雪風などと比べるとチープな感じです。まあ価格を考えると贅沢は言えません。。 減点するほどではありませんが、フレッチャー級初期艦艇数隻の艦番号がデカールで用意されているにも関わらず、それらの塗装が「フレッチャー」と同じなのか、異なるとすればどのようなものか、にインストの言及がありませんでした。フレッチャー以外を作成する場合はリサーチが必要になるかと。
