Product looks well built and has some heft to it. The connectors are good and tight. Seems like it should work well. Kinda hard to say it works well unless you actually get a lightning strike. None of my radios have gotten fried so there's that.

FEEL SAFER WITH IT!!
I HAVE PUT IT BETWEEN TWO 9' LENGHTS OF MY COAX. 9' FROM MY A-99 ANTENNA, THEN THE LIGHTNING ARRESTOR GROUNDED, THEN 9' TO IN THE HOUSE CONNECTED ON MY RADIO. THIS IS, WHERE I LIVE, CONSIDERED THE "LIGHTNING CAPITAL" OF THE WORLD, I AM IN TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA. YOU SHOULD CONSIDER HAVING ONE ALSO, NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE, JUST TO BE SAFE, WHEN THE SPRING/SUMMER LIGHTNING STORMS COME IN. SMALL PRICE TO PAY FOR YOUR SAFETY. 73'S---027TAMPABAY..

Seems to be a quality item.
I have not put it in place yet as I am still building the antenna for which I bought it. The arrestor cartridge appears to be standard so it will be easily replaced in the event of a strike.
