But I've found them to be very handy general purpose switches for all sorts of electronics projects. The fact that they are latching rather than momentary makes them perfect for power switches where you might usually have to use something like a slide or toggle switch.You can easily solder wires directly to the leads on the switch, but if you put a couple bends into them, they can also be surface mounted. I created a simple footprint for the switch in KiCad that I've used on a couple projects now. They might be a little chunky compared to most SMD components, but if you've got other big devices on the board like battery holders and connectors, they shouldn't be too out of place. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice switch. My students love them. *by D***E on June 7, 2025* I use these buttons for building circuits with my students for their "Energy & Electricity" course. They work well when you tape them down to copper tape or soldered to wired. Great quality product. Be careful when soldering though, The heat can burn out the button if you get too close.
