Meaning are there further video upgrades with the DVP5000S vs the DVP5000?** A: Hi there, The DVP-5000S comes with V 2.0 of our Visual Presence processing algorithm as well as the major cosmetic upgrades and more included accessories. **Q: Anyone know when the 4k version will be out. Also anyone tried this with Sony's new VR system? The system is great but the graphics can be murky.** A: DarbeeVision has no announcements about a 4K version of the DVP-5000S. If the Sony VR system has HDMI 1.4 video that can be put through the DVP-5000S, the results should be very good. **Q: Can DVP-5000S setup from bluray player pass thru AV receiver (onkyo Tx-NR646) with hdmi 2.2 to full HD Projector for 1080P bluray disk ?** A: I have the onkyo nr646 going with my eoson 5030 and it does not play nice with the darbee. I scoured the internet and can't find much info but it seems to play nice with any other avr. It will work direct connect from Xbox to Epson but will not work with the onkyo **Q: I have a dvi-to-hdmi cable carrying my video signal, would this darbeevision still work?** A: Connect hdmi to this device input and then output a hdmi to whatever you desire. I just want to point out that this is not a sharpening tool, but rather it is designed to bring out the detail in an image by increasing the contrast of the image.In my opinion this works better then post-process sharpening, since that method can lead to the image looking overly processed if turned up to high. This method looks more natural. Though I'd warn you to not turn up the darbee processing to to high as it can bring out every nook and cranny on a face on screen. I even had all my family in the room for a movie night. But no, just disappointment. Brand new and stuck at "100% Darbee" showing on the lower-right corner of the screen, with the remote control not changing anything, my last hope was the included batteries that could have been dead. I grabbed two new batteries and try again. Still dead! I repacked the whole think and put it back in the UPS package, ready to be returned. Despite the incident, we tried to still watch a movie after all. A comedy... but no one laughed. I did a lot of research and corresponded with the company before choosing this model, and I couldn't be happier. It makes an obvious improvement in the clarity of my picture from multiple sources, as I have it wired between my A/V Receiver output and the television. I did need a minimum two meter cable on each end to avoid the problems some other reviewers have described.Just for fun, I used the two video outputs on my Oppo BDP-93 to run directly into the HDTV and the other as described above. No contest: For most discs, the Darbee won hands down for color and clarity.
