I got them for my recumbent because I wanted a wider easier to pedal one for the moments when I' m not clipped in . I love my ATAC MX4! I used to have wide pedals that only clipped in on one side and were flat like a regular pedal but decided I liked the MX4's better. **Q: Will this work with shimano cleats?** A: Nope. Only works with Time cleats that come with the pedals. The time cleats fit on any clipless shoes though. **Q: Are these pedals as large as regular platform pedals?** A: No, they are about 3/4 the size. Have not used any of the more recent models with flat spring bars & adjustable tension, but these MX4 work as well as my old ATACs and are much lighter than either the original ATACs or the ATAC Z.
