An awesome improvement on the standard pick.
Pick feels high end. Does not slip and versatile

12 pack quality control not a good as the 3 packs
The 3 pack primetone's are clearly hand burnished and come in a resealable bag with the initials of the person who hand burnished them written on the insert. There is not a blemish anywhere on the picks including the top where they come out of the mold. These are what I have come to know and expect as Primetoneโs.These 12 packs are not manufactured with the same quality control and certainly look like they are not individually hand burnished. About half of the picks in the pack I got required that I do some hand burnishing to get them to the quality of the 3 packs, which I have never had to hand burnish.Overall they are a good buy as you get 12 picks for the price of 9 but know that you may have to clean some of them up a bit to get them to the hand burnished quality of the 3 packs.Of course they have the great primetone grip and tone but for this price I was expecting the same quality control as the 3 packs as the marketing material says they are still hand burnished.

If it's good enough for Plini...
I'm a guitar pick nerd, and I have spent over $500 on various picks from different companies, ranging from cheap ones that cost only a few bucks for a whole bag of dozens, to boutique expensive ones that cost $35 for just one pick. I mention this for the sake of context, so you know I'm drawing from a large pool of samples to base my opinions on.I got this pick because I'm a big Plini fan, and this is what he uses. I figured, if it's good enough for him...This is basically a nicer premium version of the Jazz III XL Ultex. It's still Ultex, but has modified tapering to the edge to make it a bit smoother feeling when playing.I have a BlueChip JAZZ LG 35, and that is a $35 pick (for ONE pick). The PrimeTone series is basically Dunlop's attempt to get close to the feel of the BlueChip, and they do get very close. It's not as warm sounding as BlueChip, but whether that's good or bad is subjective. For some people, the PrimeTone would be the perfect pick for them.

I tried so hard to fine thinner jazz iii for acoustiic and I thought these were it based on pics
Nope. I play nothing but the Primetone Jazz iii's 1.4mm and mostly electric guitar. I wanted something a little more conducive to strumming my acoustic in that size but at the .88 thickness. However, these are standard size picks which feel like a sledgehammer in my hands. I looked all over for the actual size and couldn't find anything other than the thickness. The picture right next to the Jazz iii made me take the chance. I guess they're mine now. If I ever need a tin can sound in my attack, I'll have a go to. These are just not good.

Great picks for practice or recording
These picks deliver great tone. Lots of twang if you dig into it, but I can also get some very mellow tones with some gentle playing. They are very comfortable to hold and to play with. There is plenty of grip, and I have not had problems with sweat. They have plenty of durability as well, and I only needed to switch out one after quite a lot of playing. The only downside is the cost, so they are mostly used by me as practice picks; they are not something I want to lose frequently. I would recommend buying them if you are interested in picks for studio or practice applications (even live if you can afford it). I would buy them again.

Feel.
Used Fender Jazz Thins for years I have now changed to these Dunlop Jax picks. These picks are expensive but I think their worth it. I was surprised when I first tried these picks out. I highly recommend. ๐ธ

ive been using this pick exclusivley. i also really like the normal ultex jazz xls that i bought in case i ever lose these ones! like the beveled edge i play metal and i can get a nice tight grip on it for those chuggin riffs. but its not too short when i wanna do string skippen arrpegios like i found the normal size jaaz picks to be. grab these or the normal ultex jazz 3 xls. i gave away my dragon heart pick after using these picks. i play every single day of my life with em and havnt lost 1 i love em so much.

Firm, warm tone, excellent grip and longevity
Absolute quality pick. I bought a few thicknesses and found that Primetone to be more firm than equivalent nylon or Tortex picks. Excellent grip and playability too. Had to adjust my playing style on acoustic as the tone was quite dark and the pick more firm than the .88 nylon pick I previously used. To address this, I altered how hard I got the strings and played closer to the bridge. The clarity came back and, although awkward at first, produced a better overall tone for both strumming and picking than my previous pick. I mic'd up the guitar with a variety of mics (large and small diaphragm condensers, single mic, two mics, different standard positions for acoustic guitar etc.) recorded it and compared the results with different picks. The Primetone with my adjusted playing style was the 'best' tone to my ears - obviously this is highly subjective! Worth the price, especially when compared with the cost of the other picks I compared it with that were at least ยฃ5 each.

Very nice picks and I find them easier to hold than the regular Jazz III sized ones.I have to say that the Primetone material does give a warmer tone than, say, Ultex, but it also tends to grip the strings a little more and gives you a touch more resistance than Ultex.I would rather have the Primetone picks with the raised design and lettering as the ones with the flat design can get a little slippery after playing for a while.

If you play a good quality acoustic guitar, these are REALLY worth buying!
Great on any guitar but on a solid-body electric guitar you may wonder what you've paid for... they feel very very nice and the hand finished edges feel very nice indeed, but on my Martin 000-28VS the tone difference is very obvious. I paid ยฃ10 for 3 which isn't cheap compared to most picks but I'll be buying these again and again.... because no matter how good they are you still lose them lol

No Packaging
The plectrums arrived with no packaging in a letter and had scratches on them so they've been used before. You would think paying over 2 quid a pick, you would at least get it sealed and signed in the pack as shown.

Best picks. Too expensive.
I love these picks, they probably cost too much but I still buy them, and to be fair they do last.
