The Spears 478 series adapter is made of schedule 40 PVC, has a female NPT connection and a spigot connection, connects pipes or fittings with different end types, and is suitable for waste water systems in residential applications. This schedule 40 (standard wall) fitting is made of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) for corrosion resistance, high strength, and less weight than fittings made from metal.
