Tunai App not connecting with Android
With Android phone able to connect to Firefly no problems BUT does not connect to the Tunai App. Unless you connect to the app you are unable to install latest firmware. Tried the usual uninstalled app etc no joy. Tried from iPhone and this worked fine managed to update firmware and set up settings. Once this was done the Android phone was able to connect with no issue with full functionality. The device works well otherwise with excellent sound quality. For the device I would give 5 stars but cumbersome set up with Android phone makes this a 3 star rating. Tunai need to sort out the app to support Android on Playstore it has a 1 star rating on Apple store 4 star rating which should send a message to to Tunai but I feel that they will not do anything about that which is a shame as the device is pretty good.

Perfect for Gen 2 BMW Mini
I’m sure the Firefly would work fine in other cars, but if you’re a Gen 2 BMW Mini owner (R56, R60 etc.) it’s an ideal way to play music via a Bluetooth connection in the car. Minis have a USB and 3.5 aux in port that sit side by side so the Firefly could have been designed for this reason. I purchased the Firefly purely to use for Spotify and other Android app playback, so the telephony aspect of the Firefly is less important for me. I have found that the regular BT connection for telephony in the Mini works fine, even with the Firefly connected. The Firefly connects very easily and once set up will remember your phone. It will continue to work with the engine off, so if you stop the car playback can continue. The only thing lacking is the ability to control app playback from the car steering wheel. The same applies to Android Auto as your phone won’t recognise that it’s being used in a vehicle unless navigating. This is not a criticism of the Firefly, more an observation of what this kind of device is capable of facilitating in a Mini. The Firefly is more expensive than other options on the market, but for quality of playback and neatness of installation in the Mini I think it’s worth the additional cost.

Great product without any competition. Some improvements would be appreciated
This is basically the ultimate bluetooth car dongle: the LDAC support is great, and it sounds excellent given the nature of the product. Some volume loss is to be expected, and if you crank up your non-bluetooth head unit it's going to affect sound quality (ie noise: less than you think though. It all depends on how much of an audiophile you think you are). So this is basically for two kinds of people: old-school car hi-fi nuts that don't want to let go of their fancy head unit from the glory days of car stereo, or people who didn't want to change the radio in their car and found some workaround like line-in preamps or something along those lines to make their vehicle sound better (I'm in the latter category). Any other type of end-user would be better off with different products. If you're planning an overhaul of your car stereo and can/want to change the head unit, either get one with bluetooth for calls (and calls only) or splurge for an Android Auto/CarPlay one, which you can use to play your hi-fi music services off your phone (Tidal, Apple Music, Amazon HD all offer high resolution music). If you think of using this with your stock car stereo system, you're wasting money, you'll never hear the difference. Get the non-LDAC one from Anker or something, it's great. The product itself: the 3.5 mm cord is flat and flexible, but also short (it comes with an extension though). I would have preferred a thicker one. Is this hi-fi or what? Anyway, it's like 4 inches so it shouldn't matter too much. The sound quality is very good though. I agree that some low frequencies seem to be missing, but nothing some quick EQ tweaking can't fix. It may be too early for a comprehensive sound review, but I can't complain for now. The software part will give you a headache: you have to install an app to tweak settings like EQ, and the dongle needs to pair with the app... but if you want to actually hear any sound, you have to pair your phone to the other TUNAI Firefly Entry in your nearby bt peripherals list... why?? Plus the app is laggy. Now, other, more renowned brands have poor software issues (Sony, Sennheiser...) but this is truly next level! Please do something about it. The silver lining is that once you're satisfied with the tweaking, the pairing happens automatically and very quickly. The call quality is okay, nothing to write home about, but it has to be considered just an addition. If calls are your priority and you don't care much about music, go for cheaper products. The 5-star rating is for the price, and encouragement to do better! (or for competition to wake up)

Bluetooth Blues have been resolved with Fire Fly chat device
My Car: 2011 BMW 328i xDrive Sedan. I have the audio head that says BMW professional. This is the low-end systems. 6 speakers and 2 subs. No tweeters up by the side mirrors Obviously you cannot stream music from your phone via Bluetooth in a 2011 328i xDrive sedan., but you can use your phone. This has bummed me out for a while. I have looked into what I needed to do to get where i needed to be with my music and streaming. As you may know, The 328i 2011 sedan has both the Aux in and USB connectors right next to each other in the center console. I decided to try the Firefly chat connection. This item gets power from the USB port to drive the Bluetooth transmitter, The other connection goes into the aux in port of the car. Now I have my phone streaming to the car audio. I can command my phone for GPS, Google Assistant and so forth. The output of the device feeding the Aux port has a high level. My sound system is louder than with the radio, USB MP3s and or the CD player. The subs really sing now. Here is the big surprise... So while my phone is connected to the Fire Fly chat via Bluetooth, It is also connected to the car phone systems. So all of the audio from the phone is coming in but, The calls come through the BMW Bluetooth system as well. The phone stops the music while the car takes the call. This is really cool. I was concerned the call would go through the phone microphone but since it is through the car, the car microphone keeps the call quality to the same level as before when I did not have the Fire Fly Chat. I also can use the answer and hangup keys on the steering wheel. Totally worth the $40.00.
