I've owned SLC, MLC, and TLC drives before but this TLC is certainly the fastest. Due to the blue PCB and Micron DRAM It appears to be manufactured by Crucial/Micron so it could be a larger variant of the MX200 mSATA but with the Marvell controller chip the BX200 uses. The NAND though is Sandisk's "6th generation 15nm TLC" which is jointly manufactured with Toshiba. With 320TBW lifespan, this should last a long time. Sandisk's tool also can show any bad cells on the drive (this is normal on every drive, even hard disks - they always have spare to account for minor flaws but I've never seen an SSD expose this value to users. mine came with 47).From my tests the drive gets about 530MB/s read and 300ish write (sustained write seemed to hold steady at around 300 unlike a lot of other TLC based drives that slow to a crawl).The only downside is that it's still SATA. PCIe based ones aren't as good price/GB but it's questionable how much faster this drive could go on PCIe anyways. The performance is still great, but if you spend more (with supported system or PCIe to mPCIe card) you can get a much faster M.2 SSD ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ If you get a good one, it performs well enough *by B***N on July 6, 2016* One of the two I ordered was dead on arrival, but the one that works has been performing well. It's not NVMe speed, but I'm not running a high transaction database on my workstation either. As a boot drive on a new Z170 based motherboard, Windows 10 boots in about 15 seconds with it. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not what I thought it was *by F***2 on June 24, 2016* I'm sure its a great product, but be aware of what you are actually purchasing. I bought the product thinking it would come with a 2.5" enclosure only to find out that it was just the bare-bones M.2 SSD. It seems like they fixed it now, but the product images on this page had both the regular 2.5" SSD form factor and the M.2 SSD. The product description and what's included in the box is very vague at the time of my purchase and reading through the early reviews did not seem to clarify anything further. All that comes when you purchase this product is the actual M.2 SSD itself. I am returning this product because I do not have a M.2 slot on my laptop.I opted to purchase the 2.5" SanDisk x400 SSD instead, which is at an even lower price than this one. Just make sure your laptop or motherboard has a M.2 slot before making this purchase.
