I'm looking to adhere fabric to styrofoam and upholstery foam. Will this work? I used 3m 77 and it melted the foam then failed

I know it will work on Styrofoam but I have not tried it on upholstery foam. It will not melt Styrofoam and I have been using it on all sorts of Styrofoam panels.

What is the amount of coverage area for one 17.9 oz can?

On the can it says 100 square feet. There are two methods of using it. On just one surface, or on both surfaces for the best bond. If you do the recommended both surface method you would have to cut the area in half, so 50 sq/ft

Will this bond Owens Corning Foamular pink board rigid insulation to metal frame? Will not melt it?

I used the adhesive to bond owens corning pink polystyrene board to a corrugated steel deck. I applied the adhesive to both the board and the steel deck and then mated the two surfaces. In my case, the steel deck was the ceiling, so I supported the PS board against the steel deck with two wood T's to give the adhesive to come up to strength. worked fine.

can I use this to seal the area between a wall air conditioner and the sleeve it sits in?

No do not use this. This is an adhesive, won't seal gaps. Better using foam panels or something called "GREAT STUFF" which is a gap filler and also insulates.
