Excellent dehydrated camping food!
I consider myself as a foodie and I don't write food review if it is not good/bad enough. So, hear me out. Before I purchase this Pad Thai, I have watched and read a lot review about it and most of the people agree on its wonderful taste. Still, with skeptical, I bought one for my camping trip. When I open it up, there are a bag with three little bags & a small paper pouch in it: peanut butter, roasted peanut, hot sauce and lime crystal These are the extra ingredients you can add into your Pad Thai once it's ready. When adding hot water, try not to add too much at once. You would want to add some more if you found the water it not enough. Over adding water will ruin its taste as it become watery. Once Pad Thai is ready, add in those ingredients till it fit your taste. If you get it just right, you will have one of the best dehydrated food ever! The complexity level of its favor will blow your mind, and the most surprising is the lime crystal did not overtake other favors. If you like hot, spicy, add in some dried pepper flake will further boost the taste. A definite recommend camp food imo!

Overpaying
Not a 6 pack like picture shows. This a rip off for $24 a pack.

I heard this was the best (vegetarian) flavor. It is.
This is pretty bangin’ pad Thai for freeze dried meal. I bought like 10 of em because I will not be upset if I have to eat this for several days straight. It actually tastes like pad Thai, good pad Thai. There are joints near my house I’ve ordered pad Thai from and it hasn’t been as good as this (maybe that’s saying more about my local offerings than the product here but still). I work a lot and am recently back after destroying my dominant wrist and my partner is disabled in her dominant hand so this is a quick and low effort yet satisfying meal solution that I can whip up for us easily on those days when we’re both just exhausted. Was stoked to find a tasty vegetarian option for freeze dried / quick shelf stable meals.

One of my favorite backcountry meals!
So my all time favorite is the Chicken Pad Thai from Backpacker's pantry - IT IS SO GOOD! But honestly this is just as good, it just doesn't have the chicken. I love these because they have these sauces and toppings you can add that are all included in the bag and it makes me feel fancy when I'm out on the trail haha. But seriously, these are delicious and VERY filling. My husband and I usually split one. I put mine into a little insulated coozie bag things so it stays hot while soaking, also usually soak a little bit longer than it says. Highly advise mixing it once or twice while soaking, it seems to blend the flavors better, prevents powdery chunks on the bottom, and helps to evenly hydrate everything.

It is really easy to make
I have always been skeptical of the freeze dried food but bought this for a camping trip where we had to hike in so weight was a concern. It is really easy to make, just boil water and add to the package. Surprising this turned out excellent, it tastes exactly like pad thai. I have to say this is one of the best tasting freeze dried meals I have found. Definitely try this out!
