If you are a DIYer, assembly is fairly straight forward. Lots of parts to assemble so plan your time accordingly. It's all metal and is heavy. I'm 60+ and was able to install by myself but just barely. You can assemble alone but final installation (hanging) really should be done by two able people. Also, don't assume your ceiling trusses all run the same direction or are equally spaced. Yes, they should be and that's what I assumed without checking before ordering. To my surprise the trusses ran one direction for the first 4 feet then switched direction for the second 4 feet. This odd configuration greatly increased the installation difficulty for me, so check your trusses before you order. In the end, I'm glad I bought this rack and enjoy having more floor space now in my garage.
