She makes Cinderella's life look tea time at Buckingham Palace. Beaten by an alcoholic father, she is verbally and psychologically abused. Gabe was truly her white knight...or is it dark knight?The age difference and the heroine's relationship with the hero's daughter is what makes this have teeth. You can see how they both care about each other. That is a given. The subtle touch is the father's love for his daughter. He sneaks his young lover in. They have distracting conversations that will divert and and all roads leading to the discovery of their relationship.Ah, but we all know that what takes place in the dark always looks uglier in the light. So when his daughter Crystal finds out ugly is exactly what she was. She was not shy in spreading it around to all Brianna's classmates and family. Silver's epilogues are famous among her butterflies and are always a treat to read.Silver has been branching out. Brianna has a horrible home life and finds comfort in his love - even going so far as calling him “daddy” and her “babygirl”! But their road to happily ever after is far from smooth... Between his daughter, his “baby” momma, her parents, his guilt in trying to protect his daughter’s feelings, Brianna acting like a typical teenage female, etc., etc., etc...
