First, the date on the bottle is the manufactured date. Shelf life is 7 years unopened and 5 years opened based on the Triguard being kept in a cool, dry place. I know I use it when I have sore gums from my splint in my mouth. Helps heal. **Q: Why did you remove the tea tree oil from the formula? Disappointed.** A: I do not know why they removed it, it is still in the nose spray. My guess would be taste. Tea tree is strong smelling and taste. **Q: Can this be consumed like collidal silver? How is it different/similar?** A: Well, it is different in that it is not just silver. It also has other ingredients. I believe the company's recommendation is that it can be taken internally. I have in the past used veg. caps to take it internally, putting about 30 drops of undiluted TriGuard into the capsule and swallowing it with water, up to three times per day. It does create a detox effect. I wouldn't recommend taking it for more than a week at a time.
