I didn’t count them but someone else said there are 10 and that seems right. So that means 10 gallons. I didn’t measure but filled a bucket with water and let it sit overnight. I doubt it needed that much time but the water was very dark by morning. **Q: Can you use tap water or does the water have to be de-chlorinated?** A: I used tap water. Read organic gardeners don’ t like the chlorine. I mix it in a large bucket and like a fish tank let it sit and the chlorine dissipates. **Q: So City water will not affect the microbes of this package?** A: Whoever said very few cities use chlorine in their water makes me scratch my head. Every state I have lived I can literally smell It in the sink water. Chlorine kills beneficial microbes.
