Is the shelf life based on the production date & if so where is the date?** A: The numbers are on the very bottom of the tube on the crimped end. There are numbers on both sides, however the numbers are not in standard date form. Front side of mine says 200221, and the back side 12557-002. These numbers mean nothing to me I can only guess. If it smells Ok when you open it, I say Ok use it and don't worry. I don't see any complaints about bad product or out of date on Amazon.
