Excellent unit. Great data speed
Excellent unit. Great data speed. My only complaint is that the instructions were not totally clear about how to set up a static IP address in order to configure them, but I was able to get proper instructions by viewing an online video. I highly recommend this product. Much better than stringing cable between buildings.

Select your frequency range correctly.
Great product that lives up to its claims. I needed to set up a point to point bridge between two properties around 600m apart and after a brief read of some online set up examples it was up and running in no time. I get the full 45Mbps at the remote end as my provider supplies at the main property.

These work excellent for point to point bridging.
I live in a boat on the Columbia River. Xfinity refused to install the cable internet to my dock even thou there is a 200amp electrical service at the same dock. So the cable install ended up at the shop 280' away. There is a 20' high dike with roadway on top between the shop and my boat. I tried router antennas, then extension cables to get them outside. I tried high power wireless adapters, A $230.00 outdoor AP that I could get only 13mbs from. This was my last attempt at getting fast internet to my boat. These work great. I mounted one about 6' above the shop roofline on a pole set as station. The second on a piling next to the boat set as AP. Before this I had 2-3mbs connection at high tide only. After the install and a half hour of setup I had 36mbs actual internet speed tested on the comcast speedtest page. This has been a 100% solid, no drops connection since day one including a couple days of rain. I did put some plumbers silicone grease on the rj-45 ends to help moisture proof them. I used 2 matching loco M5's The ethernet cables are from the xfinity cable modem lan to the first Loco M5 set as station. The boat side ethernet cable is from my laptop direct to the second Loco M5 set as AP. Their are Power over Ethernet (POE) connectors/injectors included. POE means you only have one outdoor connection to the M5 unit and ethernet cables transmit data better too (dunno why). The boat side point could be connected to a regular router port also. The point to point connection is a invisible bridge. I'm using very secure wpa2 psk/aes settings. If you make your own cables you should pair the wires correctly. Just search rj-45 wiring. I'd give these a 10 star if I could. If you price some other solutions you'll see what a bargain these are. [[UPDATE]] Okay I didn't check the exact dates but I've had these installed about a month now. It's pouring down rain right now, really hard. I changed the boat end of the bridge and hooked to the WAN port of a Asus router. My laptop is on ethernet cable direct to the LAN on the router. My TV, DISH Network, Printer are all wireless to router. I just did the comcast speed test again. 31.45mbs download, 6.68mbs upload. So it's nearly double the speed of DLS over a 300' wireless bridge these are creating in the middle of a pouring rain storm. I also did a 5.62 gigabyte download in less than 25 minutes after the speed test. Awesome. I mean totally awesome. (update 2) I had to come plug this product once more. It's march, install was in September last year. It has rained, snowed, froze, sun baked. These are still going strong. The last speed test was after updating my Asus router firmware, I got 39mbs down and 8.8 up. Thats from a xfinity modem with blast. The modem with direct connect does barely 50 down. If you need a internet signal at 300+ feet away buy a pair of these. All the info you need is on their site. Best for the price there is. Oh and I have not had to reboot them even once. (final update 4/9/14) I did a comcast speed test this morning to recheck. Now I'm getting 41mbs down and 8.71 up. That's almost as fast as being wired to the cable modem. I know updating this review 3 times seems weird but I tried solutions for 3 months to get a truly fast internet connection. This is a great product.
