I want to put one in my edc pouch that rides around in my cargo pocket. Will they snap easily if bumped or flexed?** A: I don't think there is any danger of snapping the Dia-Sharp card by accident (or on purpose, for that matter). The substrate appears to be steel, about 1.5x the thickness of a credit card, with the finishing surface diamond-impregnated. **Q: Has anybody tried cutting these in half....to potentially double your usage time?.otherwise, i find the middle doesnt get used, just the edges. ThankS** A: Never have tried to cut them in half. Haven't experienced your problem with wear either. love these little stones. They do wear out though. **Q: Is there any abrasive on the card edges?** A: Just had a look at mine--nope, no abrasive on the edge--the cards are really thin, so I don't there really could be, anyway. **Q: Can the cards be modified in any way? Like cutting down to size or drilling holes through them to attach to a lanyard or camping bag?** A: They are just metal cards with an adhesive matrix that diamond chips are embedded into.
