Review: Favorite caulking for baseboards and other paintable surfaces - This caulking is fantastic for baseboards and around interior windows. It dries quickly, the flow is consistent, clean up as easy, does not have an odor, and provides an excellent, smooth seal that is a paintable. It is pretty durable when used in indoors as intended. This is not for outdoor use or for wet areas, such as around sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, etc. But for baseboards, door trims, window trims, etc., this product is fantastic and also one of the most affordable options you could buy. TIP: Use a razor blade to cut the tip at an angle, which makes it perfect for applying between the baseboard and the wall, and there is very, very little excess. If you use the puncture tool on the caulking gun, you will have much more access which results in wasted product. Also, your caulk line will be much thicker and go on with less precision than if you use a razor blade and cut the tip at an angle.. Review: Reliable caulk — my husband’s go-to brand - My husband purchased this DAP Alex Plus Acrylic Latex Caulk and as usual, it’s a great product. He’s used DAP for years and always recommends it for household projects. What we like: • Smooth application and easy cleanup while wet. • Good adhesion and flexibility once cured. • Paints well and holds up nicely. • Dependable white color that blends in with trim and walls. Whether it’s sealing around windows, baseboards, or bathroom fixtures, this caulk performs consistently. Highly recommend if you need a trustworthy acrylic latex caulk. ## Features - Brand: DAP - Model No: 18152 - Type: Tapes & Adhesives ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00GVLHBDG | | Best Sellers Rank | #70,795 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #113 in Caulk | | Brand | DAP | | Brand Name | DAP | | Color | WHITE | | Colour | WHITE | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 2,550 Reviews | | Full Cure Time | 3E+1 Minutes | | Full cure time | 3E+1 Minutes | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00070798181014, 00700115574099, 00787461419847, 05526679993160, 07785004546152 | | Included Components | Alex Plus White (18101) | | Initial Hardening Time | 30 Minutes | | Initial hardening time | 30 Minutes | | Item Form | Paste | | Item Type Name | Raw building material | | Item Weight | 490 g | | Item weight | 490 g | | Liquid Volume | 10.1 Fluid Ounces | | Liquid volume | 10.1 Fluid Ounces | | Manufacturer | Dap | | Material Type | Acrylic Latex | | Maximum Gap Fill | 0.5 Inches | | Model | 7079818152 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | 7079818152 | | Surface Recommendation | Walls, Ceilings, Windows, Doors | | Temperature Range | 40 to 100 Degrees Fahrenheit | | UPC | 070798181014 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** DAP - **Colour:** WHITE - **Full cure time:** 3E+1 Minutes - **Item weight:** 490 g - **Liquid volume:** 10.1 Fluid Ounces ## Images ![10.1OZ Alex Plus White Latex Caulk - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61f-gLtg9yL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Favorite caulking for baseboards and other paintable surfaces *by J***S on 3 June 2026* This caulking is fantastic for baseboards and around interior windows. When grout starts cracking and coming away between ceramic tile, I got this Caulk (didn't need a caulking gun), cut open the tube, USED MY FINGER and applied the caulk wherever it was coming away from the tiles (which are off white - old grout is off white). USED A CLEAN POPSICLE STICK to smooth the caulk out between the tiles. Sprayed some Windex on a paper towel and cleaned any caulk that smeared. PERFECT! Didn't have to pay a "handyman" to come and do it and charge me a lot of money because this is time consuming. Then, after caulk dried, I put a little "Old English furniture oil" on a Q-tip and water and went over the white caulk to make it look more "off white" to match the older caulk. GREAT JOB, if I do say so myself! ## Frequently Bought Together - 18152 Dap Caulk, 10.1 oz, White - DAP INC 18152 10.1oz White Alex Plus Acrylic Latex Caulk with Silicone - Bates- Caulking Silicone Gun, 10:1 Thrust Ratio, Hand Caulking Guns, No Drip --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.in/products/260628303-10-1oz-alex-plus-white-latex-caulk](https://www.desertcart.in/products/260628303-10-1oz-alex-plus-white-latex-caulk) --- *Product available on Desertcart India* *Store origin: IN* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
