Love this game! The instructions are easy to read and understand and the game is a lot of fun. The tiles are a good size and the storage bag hooks them perfectly. I feel that the wooden pieces are of good quality and the game itself is quiet.

I have a notoriously picky, highly competitive family when it comes to our holiday board games, and they all love this game! It is easy to learn and great fun, and no two games ever go the same. It's got the gameplay and strategy elements (and scoring) of Scrabble, with the simplicity of dominoes. My family ranges from kids to seniors, and everyone had to have a turn playing Quirkle this year. There are no complicated instructions (more than half the instruction book that comes with it is a sample game), and once it's out of the box, it comes with a drawstring bag to store the tiles in. Other than that, the only things you need to play are a table (floor, counter, or any flat surface) and notepad and pencil to keep score, so this would be great if you are looking for something portable. Highly recommended! 12/15/19 Update - This is still a favorite game for all my family and friends. I'll agree with other reviewers that the hole in the box is a pain in the rear, it's impossible to store the tiles back in the box without modification and difficult to keep the rules in the bag. I printed a small copy of the rules and laminated it so I could keep the copy in the bag, but I also taped a piece of white cardboard over the hole in the box so I could keep the tiles in it as well. I've gotten a second set of regular Qwirkle to combine and allow playing with more people, and two sets of Qwirkle Cubes (again for more people). As long as you have a big enough table, you can combine multiple sets and keep adding up to 4 more players! Same rules, same scoring, same number of tiles in each hand, just lots more tiles. I will say that Qwirkle Cubes is my new favorite over regular Qwirkle. It has the extra strategy element of being able to roll the cubes to try to get another shape (more fun for adults), no need to hide your tiles from the other players, and the cubes are a more compact size and can actually be stored in the original box.

Qwirkle is a fun game for all ages. It is easy to learn. My game did take a little extra time to arrive. Not sure why it was delayed- but definitely worth the wait.

Absolutely our favorite game - have been playing for years and frequently gift it. Many friends have purchased as well. Good for most ages - play and strategy develop with practice and skill. Uses both sides of brain and great mental exercise! Unfortunately, the paint wears/chips so that it becomes very difficult to play. And some colors are hard to tell apart. Have had to purchase multiple sets due to paint. On our 4th or fifth set and now the tiles are smaller and don’t stand up well without some kind of rack! Company more interested in profit than correcting widespread problems reported by their customers. Game gets 6 stars; company only 2 or 3.

Gioco divertente e appassionante. Tante tesserine di legno colorato si comporranno sul tavolo di gioco portando oltre che tanto divertimento anche un po di colore nelle giornate invernali. Premetto che l'ho preso per giocare con la mia bambina di 5 anni che dopo solo 2 partite ha dimostrato di avere l'occhio e la mente molto più elastica delle nostre!! Gioco non solo da bambini ma anche da adulti! Comodo e paratico anche da viaggio, dentro la scatola si trova un sacchetto di stoffa dove mettere tutte le tessere. Per una volta un bel gioco senza elettronica, attuale ma col sapore d'altri tempi! Lo consiglio!!

This game was easy to learn yet and still challenging to devise a winning strategy. Its great if you like dominos or other tile based games. Highly recommend!

So much fun. We play it quite often. 2-4 people. Great for kids to learn shapes, colours and organizational thinking. Good for classrooms age 8 and up. Teacher supervision may be required at first.
