Toaster broke after 6 months. Warranty is 1 year but customer service denied it was still covered. After a few calls and emails they finally agreed to replace the toaster but wanted $12.50 for shipping. There are better toasters. **Q: If the toaster is not plugged in, will the lever stay down? basically what i want to know is: if i forget to plug in the toaster, will it let me know?** A: I am able to push the lever down and it stays down even though the slots are empty if the toaster is plugged in. I am unable to get the lever to stay down if the slots are empty but the toaster is not plugged in. So it lets you know that something is wrong. Thank you as I didn't know this was a feature that was present and may help me know why it won't work. I have enjoyed the bagel function and it has been really enjoyable! **Q: do you have a 4 slice toaster with an easy clean out slide at the bottom** A: It does not slide but is on a hinge. ### ⭐ Dissapointing *by T***J on Reviewed in Canada on 25 March 2022* I'm not too impressed with this toaster. It doesn't toast evenly on both side. The indicators on the dials are nearly non existent, so it's hard to know what toast level you're at. The up feature has to be held in place, it won't click into place. Crumb trays are individual and small, so it's a messy toaster. And compared to my previous TFAL toaster (that lasted for 20 years), this one is a fraction of the weight. I'm expecting to have to replace this one in a couple of years. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.in/products/264552821-4-slice-hamilton-beach-24633-beach-extra-wide-4-slice](https://www.desertcart.in/products/264552821-4-slice-hamilton-beach-24633-beach-extra-wide-4-slice) --- *Product available on Desertcart India* *Store origin: IN* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
