Only one issue: I have the homebrew channel and the media player I am using is Mplayer CE and it does not work when the internet cable is connected to this unit. If I disconnect the internet cable Mplayer CE works fine even with adapter connected to the WII. This is really bad because I bought 2 of these to do exacly that: stream my movie using a wired connectio. For now I will give 5 stars assuming Mplayer CE is at fault. It turns out the issue was with the usb hard drive with more than one partition. After I deleted one of the partition Mplayer CE works perfectly allowing me to stream my movie from my pc using the wired connection. Review: DIDN'T WORK. - It was disappointing when I set everything up to my wii, just as the instructions said, and then have it not work. I did my research, so I know I did it right. And I've tried a few. 1-This LAN adapter hooked to your router - 100% reliable but requires a cable hookup. (and it's ugly) 2-Wi-Fi using wireless router - Comes in second only because it can get interference. 3-House Wiring LAN - This is where you plug a box in a wall socket near your router and wire it to the router, then plug in another box ANYWHERE in or around the house (on the same breaker-box)and wire it to the LAN adapter I am reviewing. Cannot beat this at ALL. This method comes in third because it's so darned expensive. 4-Nintendo wi-fi USB connector - This was OK before I had a wireless router or the LAN adapter. It had one room range and shut itself off daily.
