It has a good grip to whatever you attach it to. The piece where the camera attaches to can be swiveled to make the camera level depending on what you attach it to. The reason for the 4 stars may seem odd when I explain it. But really the clip is 'super' strong and my opinion, maybe a little too strong. Maybe the spring will loosen with time and use. But right now, I either need to build up the strength in my fingers or use my entire hand to un-clip it. (I know, odd) But it will definitely hold on to whatever you attach it to, so I see the need for the strength. But in my opinion, it was just a tad bit too much.
