Question 1

Could I use this as the exclusive solvent/cleaning/lubricating solution for my muzzleloader? Eliminating using powder solvent, bore butter, oil, etc.

Accepted Answer

You could. However if it were me, I'd get the worst grime removed with non-chlorinated brake cleaner or mineral spirits, much less expensive than Strike Hold.Be prepared to spend some time cleaning a black powder bore with S.H. before you get a clean patch. You'll be amazed at how much grime gets removed. The stuff not only gets dirt off of the surface, it gets dirt out of the porosity of the steel which conditions the metal and makes future cleaning less arduous. My smokeless longarm bores are so well conditioned that 1 MOA from them is routine. I don't use a chronograph but I feel that velocity increases and drop decreases somewhat.Try it, you'll like it.

Question 2

Has anyone used this product on a shotgun to remove the plastic from wads and lead buildup?

Accepted Answer

Every shotgun with heavy use has this buildup problem. Strikehold penetrates to the metal behind any kind of fouling and destabilizes the build up. Try it on your situation. We believe you will be quite happy but in the event you are not satisfied our 100% money back guarantee will get your money to you so you can try something else. We honestly don't know of a weakness our Strikehold has except Styrofoam, it melts Styrofoam. Good luck.

Question 3

Will it harm wood stocks?

Accepted Answer

Negative I put it on all my wooden stocks it will make them beautiful. I wipe every handgun and rifle down prior to putting them away in the safe than again when I put my finger on them. Awesome on metal and the action on all guns. Have a Simi-auto hand gun that jams every now and again, spray it down then wipe it you won’t believe the difference.

Question 4

Would this be okay on Car Battery terminals?

Accepted Answer

Don't see why not. It's a great metal preserver. Use it exclusively on my guns, inside and out. I hunt in a predominately salt water marsh, and using strike hold every other day prevents any rust from forming on my guns. The best I've ever used, hands down. So don't see why it wouldn't work on battery terminals.
