There are (or will be) papers that you need quick access to in your future. The how to quickly navigate is important. I bought this one for my parents which has all required documentation “when”. While my normal safe is fine, it isn't portable. I like that I can quickly grab. I like the 4” plus gusset that allows for notebooks. I like the durable zipper and strong velcro flap. I like the overall size! I like that it has fire protectant and I pray that I never need to validate that this feature works. This is perfect for our needs!

**Q: How well insulated is it? Will this keep my laptop safe in an extremely hot car?**
A: I don't know if a laptop will be safe in this insulted bag in an extremely hot car.   The bag is designed to not catch on fire.

**Q: Will it get hot enough inside to melt plastic sheet protectors?**
A: No guarantee, but likely not.

**Q: is the surface sticky as is the case with some fireproof bags>**
A: I don't know about other fireproof bags, but this one is not sticky. It feels like vinyl with a little bit of texture to it.

**Q: Does this have to be open every few weeks to prevent mildew? Some boxes do and the items in my current hard box smell terrible. Looking to replace.**
A: I had the very same problem with my metal safe/box. The mildew smell was awful. I don’t have an issue with the bag, but be sure the articles going INTO the bag have been totally aired.
